Program Overview:

The Guard Foundation seeks passionate volunteers from educational and health backgrounds, as well as individuals wishing to spend their vacation time making a meaningful impact in underprivileged communities. This program aims to foster connections, enhance educational and health outcomes, and support ongoing community partnership programs.

Objectives

Educational Support

 Provide teaching assistance and resources to local educators while enhancing the learning experiences of community children.

Promote health education and wellness initiatives through workshops and community health outreach.

Program Activities

Educational Engagement

Classroom Assistance: Volunteers will work alongside local teachers to support classroom activities on topics such as literacy and creative arts.

  • Health Screenings: Assist local health professionals in conducting basic health screenings and health awareness campaigns.
Community Partnership Programs

  •  Support local events and activities that enhance community cohesion and engagement.
Program Duration

Volunteers can choose from various time frames: one week, two weeks, or one month, depending on their availability and commitment.

Logistics
  • Accommodation: Volunteers will be housed in community guesthouses or local homestays, promoting cultural immersion.
  •  Meals: Local meals will be provided, allowing volunteers to experience traditional cuisine and support local businesses.
  •  Transportation: Local transportation will be arranged to facilitate community visits and program activities.
Training and Orientation
  •  All volunteers will undergo a comprehensive orientation session to familiarize them with the community, cultural norms, and program expectations.
