The idea of the Guard-M Foundation came as a result of the weak educational background I had at the early stage of my life in Butabe, as we never had teachers assigned to teach all classes and subjects to help us discover our full potential. I want to do something great for my community because of the struggles I endured while growing up.
I was an educator with the Ghana Education Service, an entrepreneur and now an international student in York University in Canada. I have gained a wealth of knowledge over the years, which is the bedrock of change everywhere I find myself.
I believe that the ability of a child to think critically is the first step toward making a tremendous change in the future of the growing child, and this can only happen through quality education.
Over the years, I have financed the foundation’s activities using my personal savings and earnings from educational consultancy, among other sources.
I envision that philanthropists, individuals, and organizations—both locally and internationally—will sponsor us in supporting this humanitarian effort, providing access to quality education, livelihood, healthcare, and agriculture for those living in underprivileged communities.
